We need you to put your talents to work to make a big impact on our product and our company. We are looking for a high-energy, experienced software engineer with strong Ruby/Rails capabilities. This is a chance to work with cutting edge technologies and tools, and to work closely with product management and other software engineers to build an exceptional web application.

This position reports to the Vice President of Technology

Major Responsibilities

Create and maintain high quality software while meeting deadlines

Collaborate with Product Management on the definition of software requirements

Understand available technology options and assess their strengths and weaknesses

Make selected new technologies available for use in the creation of software

Participate in the creation of internal and external documentation regarding the software

Essential Skills/Qualifications

3+ years of industry experience

Experience with high scale, distributed, 24x7 systems and applications

Fluency with Ruby OR Java, C++ or C# and looking to learn Ruby programming language

3+ years of experience with SQL in a highly transactional application

Experience with Linux platforms

Strong analytical and design skills

Capacity for learning quickly in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple tasks simultaneously

Be an advocate for the customer in the design and implementation of the software

Strong written and oral communication skills
